ABOUT THE NAME AND LOGOS
Uccelli [pronounced oo-chell-ee] is the Italian word for
birds. Real birds (Butter and Sugar) modeled for the original
logos. Brett Bennett designed the original bird logos,
the redesigned current bird track logo,

and the logo for Branches, a fine art/literary online journal published by Uccelli Press from 2001-2006.

ABOUT THE PRESS
Founded in Seattle July 2001, Uccelli Press is dedicated
to publishing a select assortment of poetry collections, poetry chapbooks, fiction, and photography. The publisher is a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the National Association of Photoshop
Users (NAPP).
ABOUT THE PUBLISHER
A little bit about the publisher/editor: Toni Bennett has been active in writing,
editing, and writing education as well as taking pictures for over 30 years. She received
her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in English from the University of
Washington in Seattle and recently completed a B.A. in Italian. She started writing in 1975 and, after writing
magazine articles, booklets, teaching and tutoring English, and working for a time as a news
correspondent, she decided to indulge her concurrent love of photography. She completed a certificate course in photography at the University of Washington and is currently concentrating her own artistic
efforts on photography. She started this press as a place to practice her own craft, help disseminate the work of some of
her fellow artists, and as a way to join the worldwide artistic
community.
